Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QA / Technical / Food Tech to join a fantastic manufacturer based in South Wales. The company is very keen on developing their staff members to enhance their passionate workforce while also supplying their customers with the very best produce.

The Role

  • Comply with all hygiene, environmental, and health and safety requirements as laid down in policy and as trained. Assist with supplier & customer database management.
  • Complete customer SQA’s.
  • Quality Assurance - ensure that all raw materials are sampled according to procedures.
  • Carry out GMP Audits and report them promptly to the relevant departmental manager and follow up to ensure issues have been resolved and closed out adequately.
  • NCRs - Ensure that any NCR raised is properly investigated, that the root cause is identified, and that the NCR is closed out.
  • Handle internal queries and external customer queries.
  • Deal with customer enquiries on product recipes and the raw materials they contain about country of origin, food scares, health and safety data, allergen, and nutritional information.
  • Ensure customer and internal specifications for new and existing products are completed and maintained as per the required standard.
  • To ensure that actions are agreed, followed up, and communicated accurately and on time.
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Customer focused, understanding the individual requirements of key customers and confident in the ability to develop, nurture and sustain customers.
  • Understand, uphold, and sustain customer expectation for quality, safety, and legality.
  • Complete Internal Audits.

The Person

This position would suit an energetic person with great attention to detail, who has experience in Quality Assurance. We are looking for a confident team player who has the ability to develop creative solutions while maintaining a methodical approach to their work and dealing with the pressures of a fast-paced environment.

  • GCSE or equivalent at Grade B or above in Maths, English, and Science.
  • HACCP.
  • Process knowledge and the requirements to ensure product safety and due diligence compliance.
  • Supplier assurance/approval experience would be an advantage.
