Role Overview:

TM Forum is looking for an IT Project Manager / Scrum Master to play a pivotal role in driving strategically important IT and web projects. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the design, development, execution and management of multiple projects and initiatives. You will be responsible for working closely with senior business stakeholders, as a driving force to enable TM Forum to provide a consistently excellent digital experience to its members and achieve its strategic goals.

Skills and Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation in a software development environment.
  • Define project goals, objectives, and deliverables that align with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and control project execution to ensure adherence to the plan.
  • Deliver software using both Scrum and Kanban approaches for multiple development teams and projects.
  • Lead and facilitate Scrum and Kanban ceremonies / cadences - sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, delivery planning, backlog replenishment, service delivery and operations review.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure agile principles and practices are followed.
  • Implement and enforce quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously improve team efficiency, processes, and delivery by implementing agile best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Actively engage and own work items so inhibitors are removed, and the delivery velocity is constant.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, clients, and vendors.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and performance to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.

Requirement Gathering:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to understand business processes and user needs.
  • Create detailed documentation, including business process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Proactively address potential challenges to ensure project success.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Support the management of project budgets, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Monitor and control project expenses to stay within budget constraints.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, and post-implementation reports.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and the development team.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (technical degree a plus) and ideally three years of IT PM experience.
  • Strong experience as a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, Agile Project Manager.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFE Agilist or other relevant certifications (preferred).
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to remove obstacles and foster team collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills to present effectively to technical/non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, web technologies, and development methodologies.
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence or similar project management tools.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
