We are one of the two Red Bull-owned Formula 1 Teams, a dedicated group of professionals driven by a relentless pursuit of performance and excellence. Every detail matters, and every aspect of our operations contributes to achieving success on and off the track.

We are currently looking for an experienced Aerodynamic Performance Engineer to enhance the aerodynamic performance of our racing car by transforming data into actionable insights.

As an Aerodynamics Performance Engineer you will lead and drive Aero analysis, shape methodologies, drive performance forward, and provide clear, accurate information to guide decisions that maximise championship points. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking, innovation, and collaboration with a diverse team to elevate our on-track performance.

Aerodynamic Performance & Simulation

Optimise on-track performance: quantify aerodynamic deliverables to ensure the race car performs at its best during competitions.

Perform correlational studies: analyse data from track, wind tunnel, and CFD simulations to identify correlations and improve performance.

Plan and execute Wind Tunnel and CFD tests: coordinate resources, prioritise test planning, and organize results into concise, actionable reports.

Maintain accurate simulation models: organise and update Aero Maps and offsets to ensure simulation models accurately represent race vehicles.

Collaboration and Technical Communication

Support detailed aerodynamic tests and simulations: work with Vehicle Performance & Software Simulation groups to conduct good tests and thorough aerodynamic analyses.

Collaborate cross-functionally: work with various groups to refine vehicle setup around aerodynamic parameters, ensuring optimal performance.

Communicate test results: share findings from aerodynamic tests and simulations with the team to support ongoing development efforts.

Guide software developers: provide insights on usability and performance to help develop effective in-house software solutions to aid aerodynamic analyses.

Professionalism

Foster continuous improvement, identify areas for refinement in workflow, tools, and methodologies to enhance team effectiveness.

Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects.

Work in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and be pro-active in promoting a positive image for the department / Team / sponsors.
