The Opportunity:

You will be acting as a Threat Intelligence Consultant within the Strategic Threat Intelligence team, reporting to the Head of Strategic Threat Intelligence.

As a Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Consultant you will identify and collect threat information and intelligence relevant to our clients and produce high quality reports that they can rely upon.

You will be expected to have strong consultancy skills and experience in delivering large/complex pieces of client facing work where you will need to be able to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver services from our Threat Intelligence portfolio, including emulating real threat actor reconnaissance (Online Exposure Assessments, Digital Footprint Reviews), and strategic threat intelligence consultancy (Threat Intelligence Maturity Assessments, Threat Landscape Reports), as well as combining these skills in Regulatory Threat Intelligence assessments (CBEST/TIBER-EU/CORIE/AASE/iCAST).
  • Work under operational time pressure, be expected to self-manage tasks, meet deadlines in support of customer and NCC Group requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of the motivations of relevant cyber threat actors, their targets, and their TTP’s.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the cyber threat to various economic sectors, regions, and countries and be aware of the geopolitical impact on cyber threats.
  • Help develop and grow our Strategic Threat Intelligence capabilities in line with our overall Threat Intelligence and Corporate strategies.

Functional and Technical Skills:

  • Ability to conduct digital reconnaissance and OSINT, particularly the online attack surface of a company or person.
  • Sufficient experience in delivering threat intelligence.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with a deep understanding of cyber threats and attack vectors.
  • An understanding of current cyber threats and the attack vectors used by real threat actors in today’s digital landscape.
  • Research, evaluation and reasoning skills, such as the grading of sources, understanding of biases and the application of various analytical techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders in meetings or reports, and to present a differing interpretation of data in internal team discussions.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Holds CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst (CRTIA) accreditation or be willing to work towards this.
  • Experience delivering regulatory threat intelligence engagements, such as CBEST or TIBER-EU.
