Job description

Senior Corporate Finance Manager
£65-85k
St Albans

Reporting directly to the managing partner, this is a key role within an established 8-partner regional firm of chartered accountants based in St Albans.

The key focuses of the role would be concentrating on M&A work, transactions, funding, and forecasting, with some additional exposure to lead advisory work and due diligence.

Clients would be mid-market OMBs and SMEs, so an overall advisory mindset and skillset would be required. This opportunity will suit someone who has a real desire to engage in a broad level of corporate transactions and assignments and who can confidently hit the ground running as a key member of the team.

Varied work across a diverse portfolio of clients and support with business growth. Deals are typically in the £3m to £20m EV, owner-managed businesses, with a high proportion on MBOs.

As Corporate Finance Manager, you will bridge the gap between the Executives and the Senior Management team by not only delivering the more complex reporting but also working with the more junior team members to provide guidance and support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Evaluating and executing M&A transactions and other advisory roles (such as corporate restructures including demergers, share schemes, growth strategies).
  2. Oversight and project management of transactions and projects.
  3. Assisting with the deal structuring and other transaction-related matters.
  4. Working collaboratively with other departments to provide a comprehensive 'joined-up' service, notably working closely with the tax team to ensure due consideration of taxation matters in deal structuring.
  5. Assisting with the negotiation of transaction documentation including sales and purchase agreements and other legal documents.

You are ACA qualified and/or (CTA or ATT) / CFA/CFQ/CISI qualified, currently working within a Corporate Finance Team in a Top 100 firm or Boutique Corporate Finance firm. This opportunity will suit someone who has a real desire to LEAD on a broad level of corporate transactions and assignments.

Our client is happy to look at experienced Managers looking to make the move into a more Senior role.

The ideal candidate would be happy commuting from in and around the North London, Hertfordshire, Buckingham, or Middlesex areas; St Albans, Hertford, Watford, Borehamwood, Berkhamsted, Luton, Harpenden, Ware, etc.
