Our professional responsibility is to reduce the risk of infection to others as far as possible. Getting vaccinated against diseases that can be passed person-to-person in healthcare settings is part of this responsibility. The Trust will provide advice, guidance and support on vaccinations and access to vaccinations where requested.
The post holder will be based at St Johns Court, Exmouth and will be line managed by the Consultant Psychiatrist within the team. They will be responsible for carrying a small caseload, supporting colleagues with complex cases, and providing prescribing advice.
The post holder will be expected to cover days at Devon Memory Service (DMS). In the absence of senior colleagues, the post holder will lead team meetings and support with triaging new patients to the team.
As a prescriber in the team, the post holder will support the prescribing needs of care homes and assist in decision-making for the new Post Diagnostic Follow Up (PDFU) Service.
The post holder will monitor and lead improvements in standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, implementation of evidence-based practice, teaching, and supporting colleagues and professional leadership.
