Qualifications

Job description

Due to continued growth I’m currently recruiting for a CNC Miller to work with a well-established engineering company based near Cradley Heath. As the CNC Miller you will be responsible for ensuring quality engineering of components using relevant procedures and methods.

What’s on offer for the CNC Miller:

  1. Competitive hourly rate up to £19.00 DOE
  2. Permanent back shift (14:00pm – 22:00pm)
  3. 32 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)

Duties of the CNC Miller:

  1. To be able to interpret 3D drawing, specifications & route card instructions.
  2. Programme the machine (preferred languages, Heidenheim, Fanuc and Delcam, Siemens, Mazatrol)
  3. Operate the machine(s)
  4. Check / inspect component at various stages of sequence & final inspection to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  5. Deburring components and ensuring they are safe for material movement.
  6. Use of overhead cranes. (LOLER Training will be provided)
  7. Ensuring Machines & workplace areas are clean, tidy, and organised.
  8. General TPM activities, swarf removal, coolant routine oiling and greasing of machine etc.
  9. Carry out daily bookings against route card jobs and timings.
  10. Adhere to and encourage health and safety methods and procedures.
  11. Adhere to company environmental policy & procedures

The successful candidate for the CNC Miller position will have the following experience:

  1. 2 - 5 years’ experience as a 3 AXIS CNC Miller working with Heidenhain or Fanuc controls (Essential)
  2. Ability to read 3D drawings & specifications (Essential)
  3. Ability to program offline (Essential)
  4. Able to read and interpret technical Engineering drawings (Essential)
