Salary: £13.15 per hour + potential bonus + other fantastic benefits including a Nespresso Coffee Machine and monthly allowance of capsules

We are proud of the Nespresso Boutique experience that we already deliver to you, and now delighted to launch The Nespresso Bar to offer a memorable experience in a different coffee moment.

We are looking for a passionate and creative Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering a fast, efficient and informed customer experience at every opportunity, remaining calm under pressure to ensure every customer receives a consistent elevated Nespresso Bar experience. Using the ability to communicate and excite with storytelling, the Barista delights in bringing to life the Nespresso brand in this fast-paced environment.

A day in the life of The Barista…

The Barista is required to efficiently help the customer identify and select their perfect coffee from The Nespresso Bar menu - advising and informing to ensure the customer has a perfect Nespresso experience. Other duties involved in this role include:

  1. Contributing to the commercial measures (KPIs) of The Nespresso Bar including upselling and cross-selling.
  2. Delivering exceptional customer service, constantly surpassing our customers’ expectations.
  3. Providing a customer experience that showcases a passion about coffee and Nespresso product knowledge.
  4. Carrying out routine cleaning and basic maintenance on all equipment as appropriate.
  5. Ensuring all Health & Safety controls are in place and maintained.
  6. Ensures that The Nespresso Bar remains compliant by the prompt escalation of any issues to the leadership team.

What will make you successful?

To be successful in this role, whilst experience in coffee and a customer facing environment is beneficial, the passion for elevating a customer’s experience when they enter The Nespresso Coffee Bar is what is key for this role. Other elements include:

  1. Being a people-person, taking pride in giving amazing service experiences.
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  3. Natural curiosity of their surroundings to help inform customers of events and cultural activities in the neighbourhood.
  4. Ability to work under pressure without compromising the service level.
  5. Proven track record of delivering results in a target-based environment.
  6. Experience in working effectively individually and as part of a team.
  7. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
