About the role

We are looking for a Cleaning Operative Supervisor covering 22.5 hours a week to join us here at One Stop Head Office.

You will be responsible for:
  • Supervise the team of cleaning operatives to ensure they are working safely and in line with Standard Operating Procedures and policies
  • Ensure the team have the correct training, complete reviews and return to work interviews
  • Attend meetings with line manager to ensure updates on business needs
  • Attend business and team updates/meetings as required and cascade messages to the cleaning team
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Cleaning Task Plans
  • Ensure that provided PPE is worn
  • Complete daily/weekly tasks in line with Store Support Centre Cleaning Team Task Plans
  • Manage your own workload, prioritise, and support your cleaning team colleagues' workload when necessary
  • Ensure cleaning tasks are completed to pre-determined specifications and standards
  • Maintain polite communication with colleagues and visitors
  • Manage and control all consumable ordering of stock
  • Ensure cleaning materials are safely stored and secured
  • Vacuum and mop all areas
  • Wash or wipe down furniture, fixtures, and fittings
  • Clean kitchen surfaces and fridges
  • Wipe down glass doors, door handles, panels and inside of windows, frames and sills
  • Clean, mop and disinfect toilet areas, panels and tiles
  • Empty and wipe down waste/recycling bins
  • Transfer general waste, cardboard, plastics, recyclable items to segregated external bins
Skills & Experience I need:
  • Experience in COSHH desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Office/Outlook applications preferable
  • Good understanding of health and safety
  • Experience of balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible to provide cover for sickness/holiday
