Job description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Family Solicitor to join their team on a contract basis to cover maternity leave, although this role may become permanent in time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Private Family Law, with expertise in areas such as private child arrangement orders, non-molestation orders, divorce and separation, financial disclosures, and settlements. The role will also involve advocacy work and a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of family law matters, including private child arrangement orders, non-molestation orders, and divorce/separation cases.
• Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients regarding financial disclosures and settlements, ensuring their best interests are represented.
• Conduct advocacy work in court, effectively representing clients in hearings and proceedings.
• Draft and review legal documents, including applications, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering empathetic support throughout their legal journeys.
• Stay informed of changes in family law and related legal practices to provide up-to-date advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team initiatives to enhance client service and business development.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Solicitor with a strong focus on Private Family Law and proven experience in handling relevant cases.
• In-depth knowledge of family law matters, including child arrangements, non-molestation orders, and financial settlements.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to advocate effectively in court.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently.
• Empathetic approach to client relationships, with a commitment to providing high-quality legal support.
