The impact you’ll have:

Reporting into the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, the Commercial Finance Business Partner will partner with two key areas of the business: Supply and Revenue Management, building strong relationships between Finance in order to drive financial performance, deliver financial insights and improve decision making. The role offers exposure to senior management and the opportunity to work for a fast growth technology enabled business.


Business Partner Areas
Revenue Management:
The Revenue Management team focuses on improving revenue and profitability across the business by developing pricing and low deposit strategies that optimise growth and margin, leveraging data science and analytics insights.

Supply:
Our Supply team focuses on bringing in the best rates for our products. They also work with suppliers to get the best incentives for selling and promoting the supplier's products. The Supply team has great industry knowledge on our performance vs the market. You will be working closely with the Supply team to understand the true cost of our products and how we can maximise profitability in the short and long term.
As the business partner for Revenue Management and Supply, you will have the opportunity to understand and help drive the pricing strategy end to end. You will work closely with Supply to understand our cost base and with the Revenue Management team to understand how this will impact our ATV, MPT, Margin % and deposit options across all Points of Sales and Products, in the short and long term.

Business-as-usual:

  • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting for Revenue Management and Supply Trading KPIs, operating costs and capital investment.
  • Clear understanding of business operating levers, financial and non-financial KPIs to drive financial performance and steer decision making.
  • Support the business in validating business cases for Investment Committee, ensuring benefits are tracked on a quarterly basis.
  • Proactively seek innovation and automation in budgeting and management reporting to streamline and simplify the process by utilising Looker and Anaplan, whilst ensuring accuracy and high quality of information is provided.
  • Develop MI to track against financial targets in our BI tool Looker.
  • Support the Accounting team by providing information and analysis required for Month-End close related to your business areas.
  • Feed into our weekly and monthly reporting commentary related to your business areas.
  • Experience working with high volumes of data with the aptitude to understand vast and complex information, and convey in a simple, clear and concise manner.
  • Proven experience of delivering process improvements utilising systems to automate in a robust and scalable manner.
  • Proven experience of developing a business partner relationship with an area of business operations and becoming a trusted partner.
  • Ability to build rapport within the business and influence decision making.
  • Extremely diligent and delivers on time and gets things right first time.
  • Organised, task focused and will go the extra mile to get things done.
  • Strong systems and IT skills covering G-suite (G-Sheets, G-slides) and MS Excel.
  • Experience in BI tool, particularly Looker.

Not necessary but would be desirable to have:

  • Experience in using Anaplan and SQL.
  • Experience in travel industry and/or ecommerce.
