Accounts Assistant

A leading privately owned contractor based in South Wales are seeking an experienced construction biased Accounts Assistant to join their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a privately–owned business with an extensive background as a reputable contractor. The Accounts Assistance will play a key part in the development and future of the business, reporting directly to the Accounts Manager.

About the role of Accounts Assistant

This regional contractor traditionally specialises in groundworks & earthworks packages for leading Tier 1 framework clients contractors across the South Wales & South West region. The role of Accounts Assistant will be joining a comprehensive and experienced Finance Team.

Responsibilities for Accounts Assistant

• Log payments through the banking systems
• Provide support to staff within the business and external clients
• Assist with preparation of monthly reports for the board and pulling contracts together
• Monitor and assist with credit control

Requirements for Accounts Assistant

• Minimum qualification at A level Accountancy
• Previous experience in the construction industry is essential
• Strong customer service skills both written and verbal
• Willingness to learn & develop skill set
• Proactive approach to workload
• Attention to detail
• Supportive and team player nature
