An exciting opportunity awaits for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join a forward-thinking organization. An exciting new opportunity has become available within the Industrial Planning & Capability (IPC) area for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. This position will be responsible to provide the Manufacturing Engineering focus and skill set within the IPC Team, to represent the department at various forums, to engage with many key stakeholders across the business and to promote the department.
This opportunity will enable an individual to support the building of a new manufacturing function, which will enable the individual to grow their knowledge across all areas of manufacturing whilst operating at a strategic level within the organisation. The function of IPC is to review the future demand to ensure that the appropriate industrial planning and investment is completed so that MBDA can deliver against its commitments and to also develop IPC as a functional capability with effective tools and processes.
Job Title: Industrial Planning and Capacity Principal Manufacturing Engineer
Salary: Circa £49,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The role will expand with value stream mapping activities across the UK manufacturing systems, defining the process and governance around capacity modelling, supporting new business bids and future demand assessments.
