Job Description: Residential Support Worker for Children and Young People - Wellingborough, Northamptonshire (Driver Required)
Salary: £25.5k (Without QCF)
£26,000 to £28,000 (With QCF)

These vacancies consist of a mixed shift pattern and 1 x Vacancy that is fully waking nights only.

Role Overview:

  1. Providing 24-hour care for Children/Young People (8-18 yrs) with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and/or learning disabilities.
  2. Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with various needs, including behavioural support, mental health, non-verbal communication, and learning difficulties.
  3. Providing advice, care, and stability for all young people, ensuring fair and equal treatment.
  4. Support clients in daily activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and household chores.
  5. Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and other professionals.
  6. Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided.

Requirements:

  1. Care Experience in Learning disabilities, EBD or Mental Health
  2. Experience in monitoring service delivery and meeting short-term objectives
  3. Full UK Driving Licence
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Basic IT skills (touchscreen devices, computers).
  8. First Aid Certificate
  9. Flexible, resilient, and adaptable in a highly interchangeable environment.
