Since 1870 we've been making malted barley for brewers and distillers all over the world from our home maltings in Norfolk, England. Today, we continue that work in 4 countries, across 7 maltings with a specific emphasis on supplying distilleries and craft breweries. In 2023, Richardson International Limited successfully acquired Crisp Malt, welcoming all our employees into its wider group of companies across Canada, the US, and Europe.

We currently have an opportunity for a Production Operative at our Great Ryburgh location. This is a shift-based role working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern between the hours of 06:00 to 18:00 days, & 18:00 to 06:00 nights.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate plant equipment to meet production schedules while documenting process data accurately.
2. Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Food Regulations, and report procedural breaches, hazards, near misses, or unsafe conditions promptly to the line manager or Production Supervisor.
3. Ensure timely completion of Food Safety Quality Checks and facilitate necessary training.
4. Follow Safe Systems of Work, wear PPE, and report incidents to ensure health and safety.
5. Collaborate with engineering to report faults and minimize production downtime.
6. Conduct daily grain inspections, taking action to maintain quality standards.
7. Maintain hygiene in line with food safety and HACCP requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of food manufacturing processes.
2. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
3. Capable of collaborating with others or working independently.
4. Proficient computer skills with a flexible approach to working hours.
5. Reach truck license and manual handling training considered an asset.
6. Food or Malting production experience considered an asset.
