What is a Dark Kitchen?
A plug-and-play kitchen solution used by brands to cook food purely for delivery, sold on hugely popular platforms such as JustEat, Uber Eats, and Deliveroo!
Dark kitchens are the future of the multi-billion-pound food delivery industry and this business is the leader within the sector. With 27 live locations (soon to increase), they are the largest Dark Kitchen provider in the UK. The company works with hundreds of the most loved food brands in the world including Burger King, Wingstop, Popeyes, and great independent emerging brands. This makes it the perfect solution for food brands at all stages of their growth journey.
About the role:
We are looking for outstanding BDMs to join our industry-leading sales team and help expand the customer base.
The perfect candidate will be a real hunter, excellent face-to-face as you will be showing customers the Locations/Kitchens and will be excited about partnering with awesome food brands and will have what it takes to thrive in a rapidly growing scale-up.
What you’ll do:
- Develop meaningful relationships with key decision-makers at the UK’s most loved independent and growing restaurants.
- At least 50% of your pipeline will consist of Inbound Leads, supplemented by a regular flow of inbound MQLs.
- Lead in developing and delivering customer pitches.
- Manage and take full ownership of complex sales cycles.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including in-person facility tours.
- Be responsible for reliable revenue forecasting and ownership of your sales pipeline as communicated through CRM.
- Ensure a clean and accurate pipeline.
- This role does not involve Account Management.
- This is an office-based position.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 3+ years’ experience in sales, including a commission-based environment.
- A demonstrable track record of outperforming sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of the hospitality or real estate market, with restaurant operations knowledge being advantageous.
- Convincing, with professional communication and negotiation skills.
- A proven hunter, who can demonstrate grit in previous roles.
- Superb at selling face-to-face.
- Entrepreneurial, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a startup is a bonus.
