The opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic and child-focused person to join the Special School Team as a permanent term time Band 3 Clinical Support Worker. You will be working with the Special school Nursing team and this can include covering at any of the 5 sites if needed located in Halifax and Huddersfield. The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday to Fridays 08:30-16:00.
Experience with working with children is essential and also providing care to children with complex medical and nursing needs. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting children and families.
The successful applicant will assist the qualified nursing staff within the Special School Nursing Team to provide care and support to children and young people up to 19 years in the Special School environment. There will be opportunities to progress professionally supported by training and learning opportunities.
The Special School Nursing Team provides care for children between the ages of 4-19 years who are in need of nursing care in school.
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a HCA to join our well established team.
We are looking for an outstanding practitioner with experience of working in a community environment or healthcare role with children and young people.
You will have experience working with children, be motivated, proactive, committed and with excellent communication skills. You will work independently under the leadership of our nursing team, supporting with all aspects of nursing care and improving on the safety and quality of care at every opportunity.
This busy role requires you to be flexible in a constantly changing environment and able to work within the school environment.
The post holder will need to be prepared to cover when needed in any one of the other 4 schools that are all in the Calderdale or Huddersfield area. However, the successful candidate will be placed in one school site to base but this could be subject to change depending on the service needs.

The Safeguarding Policies place a duty upon every employee who has contact with children, families and adults in their everyday work to safeguard and promote their welfare. In the event that you have concerns about possible harm to any child or adult you should contact your line manager immediately or in their absence your Assistant Divisional Director. Out of hours contact should be made with the on-call manager through switchboard.

You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £16 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment.
