Database Administrator

Database Administrator - 6 months - Reading (Hybrid) - INSIDE IR35 - Up to £440 per day

Our client, a leading global consultancy, is seeking a skilled DBA to support their client in the water utility sector with ESRI GIS-based web solution development using Experience Builder. This is a hybrid role based in Reading, requiring onsite presence as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop ESRI GIS-based web solutions using Experience Builder.
2. Develop and optimize core database modules (Procedures and Functions).
3. Ensure alignment with business requirements through accurate design and implementation.
4. Support the application team across various project stages – build, implementation, testing, training, and support.
5. Create and maintain technical documentation (SRS, Design, Test Cases, Data Manuals).
6. Provide ongoing support to the Project Manager.

Technical Skills & Experience:

Must Have:

1. Strong expertise in SQL Server (Azure Managed Service), ArcSDE, FME, and PL/SQL.
2. 5-10 years of relevant experience in database development and administration.
3. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.

Good to Have:

1. Experience in GIS projects (ESRI ArcGIS, Data Migration, Spatial Databases).
2. Knowledge of performance tuning and SQL Server optimisation.
