SEN Teaching Assistant - Hackney - £95-115 - ASAP Start

Vision Teaching are currently working with a primary school in Hackney who are looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their staffing team on a long-term basis until July 2025. This role will be working with a group of children in Year 6 who have challenging behaviour. The working hours are from 08:15 until 15:30.

This role will be an immediate start, and will likely roll over into the next academic year.

Job Details

This role is with an OFSTED rated “Good” primary school in Hackney, who provide education to children aged between 3 and 11. The school are currently progressing towards obtaining an “Outstanding” rating in their next inspection.

The school offer parking for drivers as well as great transport links for those commuting via public transport. The nearest station is a 7 minute walk to the school, and the nearest bus stop is within 2 minutes of the school.

Responsibilities

This role will be working in a group capacity with Year 6 pupils with challenging behaviour. This SEN Teaching Assistant role will begin ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year. Within the classroom, there is a group of 27 children, and currently have an additional classroom Teaching Assistant supporting the Class Teacher.

Requirements

The school are not able to offer sponsorship for this, so the successful applicant will be required to be UK based, and have a valid enhanced DBS subscribed to the Update Service.
