Job description

Site Inspection Engineer

Our Site Inspection Engineer will be responsible for monitoring work carried out on Compco sites to ensure compliance and quality of projects.

With a high attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you, as a Site Inspection Engineer will have a pivotal role at Compco Fire Systems. Together, we can redefine what’s possible for the future of the Fire Protection Industry.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carry out regular inspections on construction and Compco sites.
  • Conduct project internal audits.
  • Ensure that all work meets the required quality standards, identifying any issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of all inspections, including photographs, reports and non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure measurements and material usage follow initial plans.
  • Report findings to construction/project managers.
  • Mark up drawings detailing site changes.
  • Monitor site health and safety practices and report any issues to the SHE Manager.
  • Participate in the delivery of staff training.

What you’ll need:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Site Inspection Engineer position or similar.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the Construction Industry.
  • Hold a valid CSCS White/Black card or be working towards industry accredited qualification to secure one.
  • Obtained or working towards a relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil engineering or related field such as NVQ Level 6 Senior Site Inspection Diploma.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Driving License.

This role requires the successful candidate to be within commuting distance to our Worcester Office: Cleeve House, Malvern Road, Worcester, WR2 4YX.
