BMS Application Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect

We are looking for a specialist BMS Application Sales Engineer to support our specification sales engineers and account managers in providing technical pre-sales support for our BMS solutions portfolio (Trend/Honeywell Optimizer/SBC). In this role, you will have an opportunity to work across all key verticals, alongside consultants, developers and end users whilst also supporting our expert partners to help develop solutions to solve our customers’ biggest challenges (energy/sustainability/risk/cyber security).

This is a remote role (within commuting distance to Bristol / Birmingham / Manchester) with around 40% travel to client sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical pre-sales support and assist in selling tailored BMS services, ensuring sales representatives are well-versed in product features and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners, becoming their trusted technical advisor.
  • Manage and support pilot installations, coordinate with internal and external teams, and maintain CRM system accuracy for pre-sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Develop and implement training plans with regional leaders, organize workshops, webinars, and training sessions for stakeholders, and promote Honeywell products at industry events.
  • Drive demand generation with Business Development Managers, develop top System Integrators with Account Managers, and lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to increase adoption rates.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Engineering background, with experience in BMS and HVAC control (preferably experienced with Trend/Niagara N4) with the ability to serve as a Subject Matter Expert in a specific technology, vertical, or technical solution. (Other BMS system expertise would also be advantageous)
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, and results-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, able to work autonomously and professionally with senior-level individuals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong pre-sales management skills and thorough knowledge of the sales process.
  • Technical expertise in BMS applications and HVAC, with strong presentation, project design, engineering and project management skills, with an ability to prepare technical white papers, architectures and 'how-to' guides.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK construction market, with an ability to develop new relationships, and a passion for Energy, Sustainability and Smart Buildings.
