Head of Supply Chain - Manufacturing

This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement and logistics to production planning and inventory management, ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the supply chain strategy to meet the company's production, financial, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Oversee procurement, ensuring cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality and compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage production planning to optimize capacity and efficiency while meeting customer demand.
- Lead the logistics and warehousing teams, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Analyse and improve supply chain processes to reduce costs, enhance productivity, and minimize waste.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in supply chain management, ideally within the food manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of procurement, production planning, logistics, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with food safety and regulatory compliance in the manufacturing industry.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
- Relevant qualifications in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (e.g., CIPS, APICS certification).
Schedule & Benefits
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, with flexibility to meet business needs.
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum, based on experience.
