Fixed term contract of 12 months with possibility to evolve into a permanent position.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Critical Path

  • Communicate the product development critical path with the Spanish factory and ensure adherence to timelines. Update relevant teams on delays or issues.
  • Ensure Spanish factory has capacity to develop new patterns and produce SMS or other necessary samples.


Development

  • Oversee all new style development at Spanish factory.
  • Schedule and lead daily or bi-daily calls with Spanish factory to review product development, setting the agenda with relevant team members and leading discussions on new developments.
  • Participate in regular factory visits to work on development.
  • Manage all sample shipments to and from Spanish factory.
  • Ensure samples are well-organized and presented in the office.
  • Document meeting decisions, maintain clear records, and ensure organization.
  • Obtain consumptions and costings from Spanish factories, participate in cost negotiations, and ensure accurate data.
  • Oversee all SMS and Capsule sample development and organisation in a timely and organised manner for all factories.
  • Oversee all edge paint and thread development, keeping the tracker up to date.
  • Oversee testing of any new designs in the development phase when developed by the Spanish factory.


Organization

  • Oversee the PD tracker for Spanish factory and the SMS tracker. Track and update the status of all new styles in the sample tracker and SMS overview, informing relevant teams when samples arrive and are ready for shooting.
  • Manage new sample/prototype archiving, storage, disposal of old samples, and recycling of components.
  • Set up all new styles in various colours and materials in Zedonk/ERP.
  • Verify all existing styles and their new materials in Zedonk/ERP.
  • Create and review BOMs for all new styles and ensure all BOMs for existing styles are accurate and updated.
  • Organize regular meetings to review the sample tracker and train teams on sample management and storage.
  • Keep the wider team informed of any product changes.
  • Process Spanish factories invoices.


Pre-Production

  • Launch Pre-Production samples where needed.
  • Ensure all samples are available for the production handover meeting.
  • Gather and document any issues experienced in development that may impact production, ensuring they are clearly communicated during the production handover.
  • Collects and update all consumptions.
  • Ensures all seasonal and carry over BOM’s in Zedonk/ERP and further Zedonk/ERP data are fully updated before production handover.
  • Ensures all patterns, skiving details, reinforcement plastics, and BOMs are signed off and saved on the server before the production handover.
  • Communicates consumptions and compositions details to the creative team for care cards.
  • Recommends packaging for new styles at production handover.
  • Adds dimensions and relevant details to the seasonal training pack for wholesale.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be Fluent in Spanish both verbally and written
  • Has at least 5 years of experience in Leather goods and accessories product development
  • Computer literacy: Excellent proficiency in Excel, experienced with V-look ups and Pivot tables, Zedonk or equivalent programs. Knowledge of illustrator would be a plus
  • Highly organised and has great planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced ever-changing environment
  • Highly focused with strong attention to detail
