Job description

External Manufacturing GPS Practitioner

The External Manufacturing (EM) GPS Practitioner role exists to build GPS capability across EM to enable delivery of the EM Strategy and improve Business Performance.

In this role you will:

  • Drive continuous and step change improvement in External Manufacturing, guided by the annual strategy deployment process
  • Support day-to-day deployment of the GPS including PPM, DMAIC, Continuous Improvement & Mindset Standards and Leader standard work
  • Work with the EM Leadership team and PQTS+ teams (Procurement, Quality, MSAT, Supply) to identify and agree the priorities for GPS deployment
  • Support continuous capability development of self and others in the GPS standards
  • Lead DMAIC problem solving and accelerators
  • Actively role model GPS skills and behaviours

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • University Degree (BSc) or equivalent
  • Held a number of positions in a manufacturing environment, covering a broad range of activities and operations (e.g. Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance/Logistics / Safety).
  • Demonstrated delivery of improvement initiatives and/or culture change year on year resulting in both financial and non-financial benefit, and behavioural change.
  • GPS experience.
  • Good level of understanding of Lean / Six Sigma (Master Black Belt / Black Belt / Green belt / Orange belt)
  • People change management concepts and practice

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • DMAIC certified.
  • Trained coach
  • Influencing skills
  • Change management – ADKAR or other
