Title and Summary

Lead Platform Architect Overview

Responsibilities include design, architecture, implementation, security, and support of large multi-site, multi-vendor network communication environments.

Role
  1. Manage network projects.
  2. Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and Mastercard networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies, and growth.
  3. Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally.
  4. Participate in telecommunications-related initiatives.
  5. Research and develop innovative solutions around unified network solutions.
  6. Support assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation.
  7. Support Vendor management.
  8. Provide strategic technical direction on highly complex network systems project or activities involving the selection and recommendation of design approach and systems software technology.
All About You
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Formal business or management training including Project Management, Strategic Planning, some finance experience and related curriculum.
  3. Five to eight years of overall IT experience in the following areas: Networking, including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless, Security, and encryption technologies.
  4. Experience with TCP/IP protocol communications.
  5. Knowledge of Cisco’s and Arista product portfolio.
  6. Firewall experience: Checkpoint as well as Palo Alto.
  7. Load Balancer experience: F5 or Citrix Netscaler.
  8. SASE experience: Prisma Access or Netscaler.
  9. Cloud experience: AWS or Azure.
  10. Advanced knowledge of Project Management methodology and best practices.
  11. Knowledge of Network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies.
Skills/ Abilities
  1. Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  2. Self-starter with demonstrated listening skills.
