As a healthcare worker, you will be expected to work within our dedicated multi-disciplinary teams and be fully involved in an individual's care from admission to discharge, assisting with patient hygiene and dressing, feeding, maintaining dignity and respect, keeping the environment clean and tidy, and keeping good documentation.
In addition, our healthcare workers are expected to support the registered staff nurses in meeting the required targets both at local and national level.
The post holder is required to undertake training to enable them to carry out a wide range of tasks in support of clinical professionals, including activities directly related to patient care.

As a Health Care Worker, you will need to communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, under the supervision of a registered nurse. Carry out ward clerical and IT tasks, as required. Carry out routine administrative/telephone related tasks. Communicate effectively when giving/receiving verbal and written information.
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, assist with patient care activities. Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Carry out any tasks required to maintain the safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the ward area.
Carry out duties as required, meeting all aspects of ward catering. Carry out routine household management/maintenance activities. Maintain patient dignity.
Work closely with other healthcare professionals in order to provide patients with exceptional care. Organise and plan your own day-to-day workload or activities in order to meet the demands of the job role. Actively contribute to the efficient management of ward resources, including ordering/monitoring of ward supplies.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trust's policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.
If successful, this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £45.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary. In addition to this, it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
