Job description

We are looking for a Specialist Mathematics teacher with experience teaching A Level for our Greenwich Campus.

Crimson Global Academy (CGA) is a registered private online high school based in New Zealand. The school opened on 1 May 2020 and currently has a multi-cultural international student cohort of approximately 1,500 students. We were recently named in the Top 3 World's Best School for Innovation.

Our students come from over 50 countries, while our highly experienced teaching staff—primarily from New Zealand and the United Kingdom—are all subject experts and registered educators. We offer both Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge International pre-GCSE, International GCSE, and International A-Level programmes.

CGA students study at a level according to their academic competence and not their age. Hence, we have a considerable number of students studying at a level in advance of their peer group.

Our school has excellence of academic achievement, a strong belief in extracurricular activity and student leadership at the core of its values. Our strong pastoral care network guarantees for students a safe and inclusive environment. The flexibility with curriculum options, the availability of cutting-edge technology and the opportunity to learn at an accelerated pace is very attractive for students with a personal drive to excel.

About the Role:
The successful candidate may be based anywhere in New Zealand, Europe, or Australasia provided they have a stable internet connection.

Key responsibilities:

  • Teach an agreed number of classes.
  • Provide 1:1 tutoring in your area of expertise.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver your relevant course.
  • Support students to achieve their maximum possible grade.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of subject area curricula and all extra-curricular activities associated with the subject area.
  • Maintain a Canvas page for your course, including creating content, lesson plans and resources on Canvas as required.
  • Maintain attendance records and actively work to ensure student attendance in lessons.
  • Provide guidance to CGA on the coordination of curricula for quality control.
  • Provide input on academic reports to families and communicate students’ progress.
  • Support the creation of video content that can be used for educational purposes at CGA, primarily consisting of sharing recorded lessons with students.
  • Support marketing and sales activities as required, including speaking at marketing events and providing testimonials and other content.
  • Provide for the physical, social, cultural and emotional wellbeing and safety of students while at school and assist in their progression towards inclusion.
  • Other tasks may reasonably be requested by the Principal/Executive Principal.

If you're passionate about education and people and looking for a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and want to work with cutting-edge technology then we'd love to hear from you!
