Highways and Transport - Driving the future

Fleet Services are responsible for the management and maintenance of the council's Fleet of vehicles, through internal workshops and outsourced provision. The Fleet of vehicles includes cars, vans and tractors as well as vehicles subject to O Licence requirements. Fleet Services are also responsible for driver and vehicle compliance.

As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in upholding the council's Driving at Work policy obligations. This will involve conducting regular site visits, monitoring compliance, and investigating any instances of non-compliance. You will also provide specialist advice and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring best practices are followed. You will research, analyse, and produce reports with recommendations in relation to the delivery of the Fleet Strategies and Policies.

Our ideal candidate will hold or be working towards their Transport Management Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage or have equivalent experience, along with strong analytical skills. Advanced knowledge of fleet management, vehicle workshop, driver record management, and the ability to produce clear, user-friendly reports will be essential.
