Job Description

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our transport team at our Evesham Depot in Worcestershire.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate daily transport and logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  2. Arrange and oversee international freight forwarding, including sea, air, and road transport.
  3. Liaise with suppliers, hauliers, freight carriers, and customers to schedule shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
  4. Monitor and track shipments, proactively addressing delays or disruptions.
  5. Manage all relevant documentation, including invoices, delivery notes, import/export paperwork, and customs clearance forms.
  6. Ensure all logistics activities comply with health and safety and customs regulations.
  7. Work closely with internal teams, including sales, procurement, and warehouse staff, to optimise the supply chain.
  8. Respond promptly to customer queries related to deliveries and logistics.
Skills & Experience Required
  1. Previous experience in a logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or transport role, preferably within fresh produce or FMCG.
  2. Strong knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding, and customs regulations.
  3. Experience in arranging transport via sea, air, and road, including dealing with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  4. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and freight carriers.
  6. Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and data management.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  8. A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
