Business Development Manager

Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a leading logistics provider who are based in Preston who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced BDM to join a fast growing team with huge potentials to progress.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive Business Growth: Develop and grow full load sales both Eastbound and Westbound between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
2. Identify New Markets: Research and identify new business opportunities and convert them into trading partners.
3. Client Management: Build relationships with key decision-makers and maintain long-term partnerships.
4. Sales Strategy & Pipeline: Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline with a focus on consistent business growth.
5. Networking: Leverage professional networks to generate leads and secure new business.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales and Commercial teams to align strategies and ensure client satisfaction.
7. Data-Driven Approach: Conduct rate analyses, review cost structures, and recommend strategies to maximize profitability.
8. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term sales strategies and market expansion plans.

Skills Required:

1. Proven Experience: A strong background in logistics and sales with a record of delivering results.
2. Sales Expertise: Experience managing sales pipelines, exceeding revenue targets, and closing major deals.
3. Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the logistics market and full load operations.
4. Networking Skills: Ability to build and nurture relationships with stakeholders and clients.
5. Communication: Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and MS Office tools.
7. Adaptability: Flexibility to travel and adjust working hours to meet business needs.
8. Resilience: Confident, resourceful, and able to work under pressure.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday
Mainly based on the road but main hub is Preston office/work from home.
