Planning here balances the challenges of dealing with a growing population and the demands of a modern society in a precious environment with incredible heritage in just 45 square miles.

We are looking for two highly motivated and experienced planning policy specialists with excellent political awareness, communication and time management skills to join our small team of planning and heritage professionals. You will need to have a sound understanding of a broad range planning issues faced by the island, and a keen focus on delivering targeted, impactful and sustainable change.

As part of the Place and Spatial Planning Team working in the Cabinet Office, you will be working in a fast-paced but rewarding environment, making a real difference to Jersey’s future. This is an opportunity to apply your skills and experience to a wide number of priorities. You will lead and help develop aspects of planning legislation, policy and guidance. Critically, you will be integral to the review of the island’s development plan. You will also contribute towards major place-based, heritage and public infrastructure decision making; and the development of other corporate strategic policymaking.
