HVAC / Ventilation Officer
Please note, although Carnival UK's head office is in Southampton, these roles are ship-based and therefore you will join/disembark anywhere around the world.

Managing and maintaining the ship’s ventilation, main AC water chiller systems, and domestic refrigeration plant to make sure our luxury ships are as safe and efficient as possible, you’ll visit different places, explore new worlds, and gain experiences that stay with you for a lifetime.
Flexing your ventilation expertise, we’ll look to you to ensure defects are responded to quickly, and that work is prioritised, supervised, and carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all current safety and company regulations. You will be supporting the Electro-Technical department in the maintenance and delivery of the asset management plan to ensure the ship technically meets the needs of the business whilst managing the development of the ventilation team.
Qualifications Summary of Requirements:
Experience on board a cruise ship would be desirable, but not essential. We believe in hiring people with the right attitudes and strengths over their competencies.
In addition to a strong technical background, you will love problem-solving, fixing things, and being hands-on. You will be self-motivated and dependable, and always keen to take on more work and help others. You will be a natural communicator, often asking questions and sharing knowledge, and able to easily adapt your style to suit the situation. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
As well as practical skills, we will help you to develop your leadership skills, supervising junior officers, cadets, and technicians.
