The Role

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring pharmaceutical products at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships. You will work closely with internal teams to manage stock levels, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and source pharmaceutical products from UK and international suppliers.
2. Negotiate pricing and contracts to achieve cost savings and maintain strong supplier relationships.
3. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and supply chain developments.
4. Ensure compliance with MHRA and GDP regulations in all procurement activities.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to optimise stock levels and prevent shortages.
6. Manage supplier performance, ensuring high standards of service and product quality.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Proven experience as a Buyer in Pharmaceutical wholesale or distribution.
2. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
3. In-depth knowledge of the UK pharmaceutical wholesale market and regulatory requirements.
4. Commercial mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
6. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
