Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Linux - Manchester
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with excellent Linux, Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience, networking, security & scripting experience in Python or Powershell to play an important role in developing AWS-hosted solutions for a global organisation based in central Manchester.
Looking ideally for someone with 3+ years of experience, showing good skills in AWS with both Linux and Windows OS knowledge.
You must have experience in building AWS IT infrastructure environments and utilising native Cloud features and functionality. You will also work closely with the engineering team, as well as the wider support teams. You should be able to perform on your own, debug issues, and understand networking, security groups, and SRE topics.
This is a new role for a company going through significant Cloud / AWS transformation projects.
Experience required:
At the moment, many of their products are managed on their customer's infrastructure. That is changing, so you will be working on migration projects, as they will be hosting the product on their own AWS cloud infrastructure, essentially taking on hosting.
The role has come about because, while they have some AWS skills in the team, they want to expand their technical bandwidth and bring in somebody with AWS skills. You will be part of transformation projects as well as improving their AWS cloud capabilities, and they also want this person to help capture and utilise cloud-native technology.
There will be training opportunities in AWS to gain more certifications.
