Your new role
Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and inspiring Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our team at School Name. The ideal candidate will foster an understanding and appreciation of various religious beliefs and practices, promoting respect and tolerance amongst students.
Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development:
  Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cover a wide range of religious traditions and ethical issues, in line with the national curriculum.
• Instruction:
  Deliver high-quality instruction that encourages critical thinking and respectful dialogue about religious and moral issues.
• Assessment:
  Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
• Classroom Management:
  Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages open discussion and mutual respect.
• Professional Development:
  Stay informed about the latest developments in religious education and pedagogy through continuous professional development.
• Collaboration:
  Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school administration to support student success and school initiatives.
• Extracurricular Activities:
  Lead or participate in activities related to religious education, such as interfaith dialogues, community service projects, and cultural events.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  Bachelor's degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Certification:
  Valid teaching certification for secondary education.
• Experience:
  Previous teaching experience in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. The ability to engage and motivate students with diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
