Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a Commercial Manager – MEP to join our Building Services commercial team in Botanic Place.

The purpose of the role is to successfully manage the MEP project finances and contractual obligations internally and externally, including all subcontract packages as a member of the project team within prescribed financial margins of the project to the satisfaction of internal and external clients and within the company’s financial targets.

You’ll:

  1. Undertake all responsibilities in line with company policies and IMS procedures. This includes adhering to the Code of Conduct, Contract Performance Procedure, Project Review Management Guidelines, Risk and Opportunity Management Guidelines, Design Management Guidelines and Project Close out Guidelines.
  2. Have a duty to act in the best commercial and financial interests of the business in delivering set projects and services to time and quality adding best value to the overall Skanska business whilst recognising our Corporate and Social Responsibilities.
  3. Promote HS&E standards and culture throughout the business and projects.
  4. Ensure that the obligations and responsibilities of the Project and other stakeholders are properly fulfilled.
  5. Monitor and manage the scope, notices, terms and conditions of the Contract.
  6. Monitor and manage the contract procedures, payments, variations together with contract entitlements.
  7. Monitor and manage dispute management procedure.
  8. Engage with health, safety, wellbeing and sustainability initiatives and activities.
  9. Collaborate with the team to deliver quality and efficient solutions.

What you'll bring to the role:

  1. Experience of commercially running large MEP projects.
  2. Previous experience at SQS level running significant multiple subcontract packages £10-50M+.
  3. Good working knowledge of contract/commercial law.
  4. Experience with NEC and Design and Build forms of contract.
  5. Client facing experience.
  6. Relevant CSCS Card.
  7. SMSTS.
  8. Degree or equivalent in commercial related subject.
