Job description

Job Title: Waste & Recycling Site Manager

Location: Brighton area
Salary: Competitive
Job Type: Temp to perm
Hours: 07:00 – 17:00

Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee the day–to–day running of the waste site, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
– Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
– Manage and lead a team, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
– Implement and maintain waste processing and recycling procedures.
– Monitor site budgets, costs, and resources to maximise efficiency.
– Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and stakeholders regarding site operations.
– Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of waste processing, safety incidents, and site performance.
– Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices.
– Maintain site equipment, ensuring servicing and repairs are carried out promptly.
– Manage customer relationships and ensure a high level of service.

Skills & Experience Required:
– Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or environmental services.
– Strong leadership and people management skills.
– Knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
– Excellent problem–solving and decision–making abilities.
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are desirable.

This is a temp to perm role paying 40–45k depending on experience.
