Role

As Business Development Director, you will be tasked with the planning, developing, and implementation of strategic growth plans for teams delivering new business & account management globally. Shaping and defining a go-to-market strategy, cultivating and developing potential new business opportunities. You'll manage two teams: one account management and one new business team, both focused on developing business across the Data Centre, both direct and via general contractors in central and western Europe. The role will lead and coach high-performing sales teams who are focused on 'solution selling', offering tech solutions in the form of IT Infrastructure, Networking, Racking, cabling, IT managed services, etc. This role will require coaching & mentoring high-performing teams globally. The successful candidate will lead a sales team of 8 and will be required to meet and exceed targets and convert marketing strategies into sales. We are seeking candidates with direct experience in the Data Center or IT infrastructure sectors, ideally with experience selling to General Contractors. If you have a minimum of 3 years in either of these sectors, then we’d love to hear from you.

To be successful, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, disciplined, and well-organized, possessing focus and attention to detail. Experience managing teams who are closing long complex sales cycles through to fruition and winning business is an absolute must. Ideally, having demonstrable experience in a high-pressure sales environment, particularly in the IT infrastructure & data centre industries in EMEA/Globally. We are seeking a person who is confident to coerce at all levels of business and interface with a multitude of organizations in different sectors. Polished oral, written communication & presentation skills are essential.

The Package

This Business Development Director role offers a basic salary of £100,000 / £120,000 with a realistic OTE of £140,000+ OTE with an uncapped commission structure.
