Sous Chef

Location: Northallerton, Stunning Period Hotel

Salary: Up to £32,000

This stunning period hotel, nestled on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors, is looking to recruit an experienced Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef in leading a talented team in this fine dining kitchen. The emphasis is on local, seasonal foods, cooked using modern and interesting techniques with the latest chefs' kit. This is a great opportunity for a career-minded chef to make a name for themselves in a supportive environment for the region's leading Independent Gastro pub and Hotel group.

Our clients are looking for applicants who can demonstrate:

  1. A keen eye for detail and true passion for their craft.
  2. Experience working in a rosette or Michelin kitchen (advantageous).
  3. A career-minded chef eager to progress in their career.
  4. A proven longevity in roles; no jumpy chefs here!
  5. A character who can enthuse and excite junior chefs, leading by example rather than through shouting.
  6. Detailed knowledge of kitchen management, costings, and experience working with seasonal produce (beneficial).
