Remote/home based. Must have full right to work and live in the UK. Expensed travel to offices in UK once a month for team days.

Job Overview

Our client is building a new team within their Technology Operations and Cyber Security function:

1. Remit is to provide SRM capability across their Tier 1 / Material Technology and Cyber Security vendors.
2. Usual big names including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM and BT.
3. Given the Greenfield nature of the team, there's a lot to do in terms of building process & policy relating to governance and compliance, before they can really get stuck into the value-add supplier management tasks (extracting in-life value, new product development, etc).
4. Responsibility for Business Continuity Plans, quarterly BRMs, full lifecycle SRM (on-boarding, management, exit plans, off-boarding, etc).
5. There are many unknowns at the moment (given it's a new team), so need to do a lot of networking with suppliers and stakeholders to get the answers.
6. Must be willing to challenge the norm and bring a fresh perspective to what they're doing with the suppliers, i.e., commercial proposals / new product opportunities.

Key Competencies

1. Must have IT Supplier Management experience.
2. Preference for Financial Services experience.
3. Experience of working with Tier 1 Tech Vendors including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM and BT.
4. Some knowledge of Third Party Risk / Governance, etc.
