ABOUT US:

Vaccination UK has been commissioned by NHS England since 2015 to provide school aged immunisations, including Influenza, to pupils across numerous counties across England and all boroughs of North London.

We are also commissioned by NHS England in North London to provide outbreak response in the event of a vaccine preventable disease outbreak, and we provide the infant BCG programme to newborns in North London.

Our mission is to fight disease and save lives by making prevention and treatment easy, accessible and safe.

JOB DETAILS:

Job title: Human Resources Advisor.

Contract: Permanent.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday between 9:00am - 5:00pm. 37.5 hours per week.

JOB PURPOSE:

The postholder will be responsible to provide expert HR advice to managers and effective delivery of HR initiatives and processes across the company, including managing and supporting HRIS issues and ensuring successful solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR

  • Coach and train managers on HR issues, providing business focused, risk balanced advice.
  • Provide qualified, consistent, well informed and practical end-to-end people focused solutions.
  • Facilitate and manage employee relationships in line with policies, processes, legislation and best practices, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, probation, capability, performance and development, occupational health referrals, grievances, disciplinaries, restructures, TUPE and offboarding.
  • Draft correspondence for employee relation cases.
  • Maintain high professional standards in line with ACAS and the CIPD Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Maintain staff files and liaise with other key departments where required.
  • Draft contracting letters and amendments.
  • Support and assist the Recruitment team during the peak season of high-volume recruitment where appropriate.
  • Continually review policy and process changes affecting our existing practice.

HRIS

  • Ensure data integrity and enhance processes to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Manage and resolve application issues.
  • Effectively support implementation of HRIS company wide.
  • Comply with company policies & procedures.
  • Ad-hoc project work in line with business needs.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • CIPD Qualified or studying towards level 7.
  • An understanding of UK employment laws, rules, regulations and best practices.
  • Conversant with Microsoft 365.
  • Experience of working in a generalist HR environment.
  • Familiarity with HR software.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with managing and leading HR & HRIS projects.
  • Strong HR Generalist and Employee Relations experience.
  • Experience managing teams (desirable).
  • Ability to apply a pragmatic approach.
  • Ability to understand the business and balance commercial needs with assessed risks.
  • Experience managing stakeholders at different levels.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle competing demands effectively and manage own workload and priorities.
