An established industry player is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to contribute to exciting commercial projects on a freelance basis. This role offers the opportunity to work with a small, talented team on diverse projects across various sectors, including residential, education, healthcare, and industrial. With a minimum commitment of three days per week and the flexibility to work from the office occasionally, this position is ideal for a motivated individual looking to make a significant impact. 4-6 years of relevant work experience in structural engineering.
Competent in using AutoCAD and Revit for design and reporting.

Produce designs, drawings, and reports using relevant software.
Liaise with the team to ensure quality and accuracy in deliverables.

Role

Having recently secured some sizeable commercial projects, we are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support in the delivery on a freelance basis.

The ideal candidate will be a competent number cruncher, capable of working efficiently and autonomously, confidently producing deliverables requiring little additional input.

Projects span across a range of sectors from residential and education to healthcare and industrial, and varied experience would be desirable.

Scope

Likely to be a minimum of 3 months work, potentially longer
Ideally seeking a 3 days per week commitment
Willing to work from the office occasionally desirable but not essential
Should live within a commutable distance to Bristol

Requirements

Degree in structural or civil engineering
4-6 years of relevant work experience
Competent with AutoCAD and Revit
Experience with large steel and concrete structures
Excellent communication and IT skills
Liaising with the wider team to produce required deliverables
Produce designs, drawings, and reports using relevant software
Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency
