Job Description

You will join this growing chartered accountancy practice based in Bristol as Audit and Accounts Manager, managing the provision of audit, accounts, and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients with turnovers up to circa £40 million. The firm has an excellent reputation across the South West and beyond, acting for clients in varied industries and sectors. You will have significant client contact and management responsibility, with the Directors seeking an individual who possesses the gravitas and experience to manage client relationships autonomously while developing relationships and identifying opportunities for added value advisory work. You will manage wider teams and play a key role in their development. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop, expand, and grow the department through business development and new client acquisition. There is scope for the right professional to carve out a key role in this growing, highly successful firm and progress your career as a key addition and support to the Directors.

The Successful Applicant

You will be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with a career background ideally encompassing a mix of audit/accounts and general accountancy practice service delivery to a broad range of smaller clients under the audit threshold, as well as limited company clients, SMEs, and OMBs over the audit threshold. Alternatively, you may have developed your career focused entirely within audit at a larger firm, working exclusively with larger corporate clients and seeking a transition to a smaller firm environment that offers more autonomy, influence, and personal career growth. Your career should have progressed to managerial levels, and you should be looking to advance your career as the Audit and Accounts Manager within a firm that offers a clear progression and development path.
