Hours: 37.5 hours

Position Overview:

The Business Technical Analyst role is to work with key business stakeholders to understand key business processes and articulate business needs through prioritized requirements. The Analyst is responsible for analyzing and documenting current processes and media workflows with customers, identifying areas for improvement, and steering the implementation of solutions that enhance media asset handling and optimal benefits for cloud-based working. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the analyst ensures seamless integrations, workflow automation, and adherence to business requirements. Additionally, the position requires strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical challenges, create process documentation, and provide user training to ensure system adoption and efficiency. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and people-person, capable of working directly with customer stakeholders at different seniority levels and across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Running workshops and observing users in action
• Determining the present and future business processes
• Facilitating the discussion of requirements among stakeholders and documenting requirements to provide data-driven recommendations
• Gathering intelligence from managers and operational staff with the clients to bring the true business needs to light
• Analysis of data and how it is used by the stakeholders
• Create a backlog or prioritized requirements from which to develop and test against
• Coordinating User Acceptance Testing and support training, rollout and adoption
• Ability to facilitate end-to-end delivery, from research, solution options, and design through to development, testing, and release
• To work in collaboration with our project team across large-scale global data migration projects
• Capturing workflow requirements from users, superusers, and key stakeholders to optimize the rollout of the cloud solution with an integrated MAM
• Forward looking at assessing new product integrations, such as new AI services in collaboration with the QA and Assessment team
• Advising and documenting workflows for end users ready for the launch of the MAM system
• Help maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, progress reports, and risk assessments
• Building excellent relationship management with key clients and internal and external teams, including senior level personnel
• Ability to work within Scrum, Kanban, and other Lean frameworks.

Must Haves

• Expert in the following products and services from a high-level config/integrations standpoint.
• Has led business and technical analysis for all or parts of large-scale projects and programmes
• Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Mapping
• Business Analysis and requirements prioritization techniques
• Use of various elicitation techniques
• Communications and stakeholder management
• Experience with Media Asset Management (MAM) systems and familiarity with steering configuration on MAM platforms. Hands-on experience of iconik MAM would be of significant benefit
• Knowledge of content workflows, media processing, delivery, and distribution
• General understanding of cloud, API Types, and AWS storage tiers
• Understanding of transcoding pipelines
• Lexicon and Taxonomy creation
• Use of third-party AI modules with MAM systems auto-tagging
• Data Migration experience into cloud platforms such as AWS (including via file transfer software, Storage Gateway agents, and mass migration devices)
• Strong process analysis skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to cater the communication appropriately to the level of the audience from peers, engineering teams, to external partners and senior stakeholders
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications for internal and external teams
• Identify risks and dependencies and escalate issues proactively
• Formal Business Analysis certifications/qualifications desirable
• Experience in data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization tools desirable

Management Skills:

• Proven ability to be the lead analysis and configuration on multiple concurrent projects
• Understanding of methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

Communication & Leadership:

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Strong leadership skills and a self-starter
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven experience working within technical functions, collaborating with Architects, Data Engineers/Analysts, AWS engineers, Dev Ops, Software Developers etc
