Our client is a well-established Heathrow freight forwarding agent who has an exciting new role available based out of their Slough Contract Logistics Centre for a Cross Border Administrator. The successful candidate will have good communication/customer service ability, IT skills (Word/Excel), and excellent verbal/written English together with a 5-year steady employment/education record and a clear DBS check.
Reporting to and partnering with the Cross Border Manager and the team, you will support an international department to ensure robust customer services are achieved in line with the strategic direction of the department.

Hours: 09:00am - 5:00pm with some weekend work on rotation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Booking in/booking out of cross border orders
Operational work to ensure that shipments are moved as planned
Working with the team to get shipments moving
Entering and sorting data in Excel ensuring that KPIs are visible
Preparing for customs entries
Bulk upload of documents and/or entries
Submitting export customs entries to customs using the customs system
Creation of T1s
Liaising and communicating with external and internal customers
Invoicing administration
Ensure all information is entered into the system and communicated to relevant personnel
Experience/Technical Abilities:
Experience working in the logistics sector is desirable but not essential
Excel knowledge, advanced desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Excellent communication in English (verbal and written)
