Job Description

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the advocacy service
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of advocacy workers
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality advocacy support to service users
  • Work closely with stakeholders to improve service delivery
  • Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular staff training and development
  • Manage service budgets effectively
  • Represent the organisation at external events and meetings

The Successful Applicant

A successful Advocacy Service Manager should have:

  • A thorough understanding of VAWG sector
  • Previous experience in managing advocacy services
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience in budget management
  • An ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Understanding of the criminal justice service
  • Prior experience as an IDVA
