I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client who is creating exceptional cars that blend British elegance with ferocious intelligence to forge a new legacy forever.

They are looking for a Senior Interior Design Engineer to join their team on a long-term rolling contract basis, working 42 hours per week.

Job Description

• Having successfully delivered projects from concept to SOP with established OEMs or Tier 1 in the automotive industry.
• 3D CAD & 2D Drawings: Expertise in complex assemblies and detailed 2D/3D designs.
• 3D CAD & 2D Drawings: Establish and refine design standards and best practices.
• GD&T and Tolerancing: Develop advanced tolerance schemes that optimize manufacturability and performance.
• GD&T and Tolerancing: Mastering BS 8888:2020 and ISO GPS.
• Material Selection: In-depth understanding of materials for interior production, cost, and compliance.
• Material Selection: Able to propose materials and discuss new design solutions.
• DFMEA & Feasibility Analysis: Active participation in DFMEA initiatives and perform comprehensive feasibility analyses to refine designs.
• Surface Design & Styling: Independently manage surface design analysis and change requests.
• Surface Design & Styling: Tool concept design proposals, moulding directions, sliders, and complex tool inserts analysis.
