Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Fixed Term) - Sacred Heart Catholic Primary
The role

The Governors of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dedicated and caring Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our happy and hardworking team. Hours of work are 08:30 to 15:30 Monday to Friday (30 hours per week). This is a fixed term position.

The successful candidate will be working with groups within a class setting in addition to delivering learning programmes tailored to the child’s individual needs. Their duties will also include teaching whole classes, covering short term teacher absence under the direction/instruction of the class teacher. Experience of working in both key stages would be an advantage but is not a necessity.

We are looking for someone who:

  1. Will fully support the Catholic ethos of our school
  2. Has a nurturing, enthusiastic manner with good communication skills and is able to work with parents and outside agencies confidently
  3. Is very positive and has a desire to succeed with children
  4. Is calm and demonstrates good behaviour control
  5. Works well as a team and is flexible
  6. Is qualified to at least Level 3 or equivalent
  7. Preferably has experience of supporting children with SEND
  8. Shows initiative whilst also being able to work under the direction of the class teacher
  9. Has a good sense of humour
