Trainee Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Schools)

GBP16,(Apply online only)

30-32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Opportunity

Vision for Education, part of the Edwin Group are working closely with this Federation of Schools to undertake a key recruitment drive. We are seeking stand out candidates for permanent, contracted posts from Level 1 and entry level roles, to experienced HLTA positions. The training and progression available to successful candidates within these schools is second to none.

We are seeking candidates with the interest, commitment and potential to shine for a number of permanent vacancies within these vibrant and thriving school settings.

Previous experience of working or volunteering with children, young people or vulnerable adults is highly advantageous, but may not be essential for every post. You may have personal or life experience that you can bring to this role. You may be a course leaver, a parent who is returning to the workforce, or a career changer.

Working hours are Term Time, 5 days a week Monday - Friday. Available to work between 8.30 and 3.30pm, with a 4.30pm finish some days.

Requirements:
  • You will need to be calm, professional, willing to learn.
  • A great team player, willing to take responsibility.
  • Understanding of child development is advantageous.
  • Experience with SEND learners advantageous but not essential.
  • Comfortable supporting personal care of school aged children and young people (4-19 years).
  • English and Maths GCSE at grade C equivalent or above is preferred, but all applications will be considered on their own merit.
