Job description

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support our client in delivering Sustaining (M&R) and Growth CAPEX projects. In this full-time permanent position, you will be pivotal in ensuring projects are completed safely, within budget, and on time, working closely with a project manager to oversee multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Leading the technical aspects of assigned projects and ensuring compliance with UK and European legislation
  • Managing the development of project proposals, budgets, and schedules
  • Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and handling technical documentation
  • Liaising with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and clients, to ensure project alignment
  • Ensuring all projects are complying with safety and environmental regulations
  • Managing the financial aspects of assigned projects, monitoring budgets, and contract variations
  • Providing 24/7 engineering advice and attending site during critical activities

Key requirements:

  • Degree in engineering or similar
  • Accreditation with PMP/Prince 2 or equivalent
  • Experience in chemical, petrochemical, or process industries, particularly COMAH sites
  • Competency in project management, safety regulations, and engineering software
